The best way to experience the web, emails, photos, and video. Hands down.

It looks pretty cool but at a price of $499 dollars I don't think I will have one anytime soon it looks cool and fun but I bet they kinda hurt ya hands after a wile with holding it up with one hand and typing with the other hand but I think Apple have raised the bar with this product I hope it does well.

Cool idea but it's obviously missing a few things, no camera, no support of flash? If I decide that I want one then I'd probably wait for at least the second generation model.

That is properly the sensible option...

I wonder how much longer we will have to wait for a proper MacBook Tablet which will do everything a Mac can do, but on a touchscreen like the iPad...

That's exactly what I was hoping this would be.

Would you be caught dead with one of those? Looks like you just stepped out of a sci fi movie. "What's on the cargo manifest today Boba Fett?"

Seems like a cross between a really expensive e-book reader and an iPhone without any of the stuff I'd be really interested in. Battery life is far too short to make it a decent e-book. 16Gb or even 64GB is no way enough for my music/video files. Doesn't have Flash (youtube still uses Flash right?) or a DVD drive (I'd be expecting that since it's so big). Doesn't operate at below freezing either. Pfft, what happens when I want to go to moon for some cheese?

I'd be tempted if it was foldable, supported flash, wasn't made by Apple, had an attractive price, supported PDF files or any other non-propietary ebook/music/video files, had a good battery life, etc. I'm being a bit harsh but still, would you take that out in public with you? "Starship Troopers called, they want their school gear back."

Does have all the modes of communication you'd want though and the iPhone goes from 3G to WiFi seamlessly from what I recall. If only I were stupidly rich... I'd design something better - charged by cola so I can get a refill and a fresh batch of juice all in one!

Spoiler: show

I've got to admit. I reaaaally want one of these now. It'd be great for casual web surfing.

They sound amazing, but the only thing holding me back is that there is bound to be a new iPad released next April which will improve and add to the current capabilities...

One day I will own one of these though, I just know I will.

Just to let you all know... it does blend.

That guy is a little crazy smashing one up. Even if he had stolen it, you could sell it on. Must have a rich daddy to pay for it? Or maybe he's an anti-Jobs guy and doesn't want the company to benefit, despite buying it and therefore contributing?

There's plently of buzz around the iPad at the minute. Modern Family even had an episode with a plot line on it.

He said he just wanted to be the first to smash an iPad. Obviously just another attention whore. And look, it's worked...

BTW I actually like those blender videos, where they put something like an iPhone into the blender and smash it to pieces. They're pretty interesting. But this... this was just stupid and unfunny.

If I had wanted to do something wild to break one I'd of tested it's underwater-features or...

For loads of laughs, open it up, put a few cockroaches in and send it back to the engineers. Tell them you couldn't get it working and ask if there's any bugs in it.

The guy in that video just isn't an artist, or comedian.
